Next meeting of Contact Group in Ramstein format to be held on Sept 6 – media

The U.S. Air Force in Europe announced the date of the next, 24th, meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format (Germany) - it will be held on September 6 under the chairmanship of U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Radio Liberty reports.

"On September 6, 2024, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will hold a meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine at Ramstein Air Base, Germany," Radio Liberty said, citing the U.S. Air Force in Europe.

Other details of the meeting were not disclosed.

The previous meeting was held on June 13, when it was, in particular, about air defense issues for Ukraine.

The U.S.–led Ramstein Group is a mechanism for cooperation between more than 50 countries coordinating arms supplies to Ukraine.
