Interior minister advocates creation of united financial investigation agency in Ukraine
Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has said that it is appropriate to create a united agency investigating into crimes in the economy sphere.
"I am deeply convinced that the country should have the united agency, as the United States has the financial investigations service. The police are ready to eliminate the economy protection department, plus tax police, and the K service should be removed from SBU," he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
He said that the authorities' will is required to create the united agency to investigate into economic crimes.
"I think that today there is no political will in the country to close the K department in SBU, for example," he said.
