Parliament won't vote on CEC members in package

The Verkhovna Rada will vote on separate draft decrees to appoint each member of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy has said.

"Each candidate for CEC membership will be considered separately in line with the law... There won't and can't be a package vote. Separate draft decrees on each candidate will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada," Parubiy told reporters in Kyiv on Thursday.

As reported earlier, presidential draft decrees on dismissal of 12 CEC members and on appointment of 11 new CEC members were registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
