NABU, PGO to collaborate in probing Party of Regions shadow costs, Maidan cases
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) in the investigation of criminal proceedings based on the so-called Party of Regions shadow costs will actively cooperate with the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO), as this case intersects with that of Maidan, NABU Director Artem Sytnyk has said.
"Yesterday I had a meeting with Horbatiuk [Head of the Special Investigations Department of the Prosecutor General's Office Serhiy Horbatiuk], who is investigating the case of Maidan. He called me himself, because these documents overlap those criminal proceedings which are under the jurisdiction of his department," the NABU director said at a briefing on Wednesday.
"I don't exclude efficient information sharing in this regard between our two departments," Sytnyk said.
"You do understand that this money was taken from some source. This is being investigated by the Prosecutor General's Office in the framework of the Maidan case," Sytnyk said.
