Savchenko's challenging behavior in court made Ukrainian doctors' visit to her impossible – Lavrov tells Ukrainian foreign minister
Russia was prepared to allow Ukrainian doctors to visit Ukrainian woman Nadia Savchenko held in custody on an exceptional basis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin.
"However, Savchenko's challenging behavior during a court session held on the same day and her offensive remarks to the court changed the situation, making it impossible to carry out such a visit," the Ukrainian minister was told, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday evening.
