US Secretary of State Marco Rubio may meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday, October 23, Reuters reports, citing informed sources.

“On Thursday, before meeting Zelenskyy, Trump said he would soon meet Putin in Budapest. A Kremlin aide said shortly after that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would speak in the coming days to prepare for the summit. In the Friday meeting, U.S. officials said Rubio planned to meet with Lavrov on the coming Thursday,” the message reads.
