Red tape, low salaries are reason for resignation of minister Pyvovarsky and his team

Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Andriy Pyvovarsky has said that among key reason why he resigns is the unreformed red tape system and low salaries of his teammates.

"I came from business, I run rather interesting positions and earned good money. The issue was not in the money for me. However, for most members of my team, volunteers the issue was in the money, as people believed me, came and gave up their jobs, came to the ministry to change the country and chance the ministry, but they cannot work having non-market salaries," he said on Inter TV late on December 11.

He said that there is a complex of problems, and one of them is the unreformed red tape system.

"It is impossible to reform one public institution and do not touch the whole system," he said.

He said that Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk knew that the infrastructure minister plans to resign.
