Blocking of Russian truck transit through Ukraine will have lamentable consequences
The attempts made by pro-Ukrainian activists to block the transit of trucks with Russian registrations can only have negative consequences for the country, Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pyvovarsky said.
He said that such actions will give carriers from the Eurasian region the idea that transit through Ukraine is unsafe, and the country will lose transit flows.
"When someone says transit will be blocked, one should clearly understand the consequences, and clearly calculate them. This means that one should not think about today, but think strategically," the minister told reporters in Kyiv on Friday.
Earlier on Friday, Svoboda leader, Oleh Tiahnybok, reported the resumption of the action to block Russian trucks transit through the territory of Ukraine.
