Independent candidates win mayoral elections in two Donetsk region towns – CEC
The Central Election Commission has announced the results of mayoral elections in two towns in Donetsk region – Bilozerske (Dobropillia town council) and Mykolaivka (Svolvyansk town council.)
Local entrepreneur and head of farming enterprise 'Zlata-Liya' Serhiy Makeyev has been elected as the mayor of Bilozerske with 54.8% of the vote, surpassing his sole opposition candidate, Nash Kray Party candidate Oleksandr Razumenko, by 15%.
Director of the local municipal enterprise Serviskommunenergo Oleksandr Makarov was elected as mayor of Mykolaivka with 53.8% of the vote. The Opposition Bloc and Nash Kray candidates obtained 27.9% and 18.3% of the vote respectively.
