Saakashvili satisfied with local elections' results in Odesa

Head of Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili believes the result of his adviser Oleksandr Borovyk to be successful. Borovyk is running for the position of Odesa Mayor. On the air of 112.Ukraine TV channel, Saakashvili said that it was a success when a completely unknown candidate got 30% of votes. According to him, a lot of former Odesa officials were working against him. "There will be a second tour. The commissions are trying to manipulate [the results], but I think they'll come to their senses," he said. In addition, Saakashvili said that it was a success that pro-Ukrainian parties had got 42% of votes in Odesa. According to the exit poll, Borovyk came in second in the election, losing 17% to Hennadiy Trykhanov.
