Session of Dzerzhynsk council decides to rename city into Toretsk

Dzerzhynsk City Council at its session on Friday decided to rename the city into Toretsk pursuant to the law on decommunization, Donetsk Regional State Television and Radio Company has reported.

"A session of the city council has been held today, where it was decided to send a petition to rename the city of Dzerzhynsk. Now it's up to the Verkhovna Rada," the TV company quoted the city council's secretary Yuriy Yevsiukov as saying.
