Berlin believes that holding fake elections in the so-called people's republics in eastern Ukraine would constitute a serious violation of the Minsk agreements

Germany views separatists' statements regarding the elections with alarm. The elections are a serious threat to the Minsk accords, a representative of German Foreign Ministry has said.

According to the representative, Berlin expects Moscow to use its influence to force the separatists to stop the elections.
