Local elections in eastern Ukraine should take place in accordance with Ukrainian laws - Steinmeier

Elections to the local authorities on the entire territory of Ukraine, including the territories in eastern Ukraine uncontrolled by Kyiv, should take place in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said before the meeting between the foreign ministers of the Normandy four countries.

He said the ministers will give special attention to this issue.
