Several leaders of local AutoMaidan detained in Odesa
Policemen detained Yevhen Rezvushkin, the leader of the Odesa AutoMaidan movement, Serhiy Sternenko, the leader of the Right Sector's [the organization banned in Russia] Odesa department, and Ruslan Demchuk, the head of a district branch of the same organization.
Chief of the Odesa region's police Giorgi Lortkipanidze wrote on Facebook that Rezvushkin was charged with hooliganism, as well as threats or violence towards a law enforcement officer.
The men from the Right Sector were announced that they are suspected of an assault on the assistant of a Ukrainian member of parliament and his subsequent abduction. Pre-trial restrictions are to be pronounced to all of the detainees within a few days, Lortkipanidze said.
"Dear Odesa residents, I am to address you with a request to abide by the law and observe the public order. All Ukrainian citizens are equal before the law, with no exceptions to the rule!" Lortkipanidze wrote.
Prior to that, it was reported that the police searched Sternenko's apartment.
