Ukraine's draft military doctrine calls Russia enemy – Yatseniuk

The Cabinet has defined Russia as a potential enemy in a draft Ukrainian military doctrine, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.

"For the first time in the history of an independent Ukraine a draft military doctrine identifies the adversaries and aggressors that Russia is," he said at a briefing in Odesa on Tuesday.

The doctrine has been submitted for consideration to the National Security and Defense Council and must be approved in a decree signed by the Ukrainian president, he said.
