Ukrainian Foreign Ministry drawing up 'Sentsov-Savchenko list' - minister
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has announced the work on a list imposing sanctions on individuals related to the detention and prosecution of Ukrainian citizens Oleh Sentsov and Nadiya Savchenko.
"We are already working on this list of everyone directly liable," Klimkin said in a program aired by the Inter channel on Sunday night.
The minister said the 'Sentsov-Savchenko' list was absolutely necessary. "I will promote it amongst European colleagues, American colleagues. We will need support of the parliament in doing so. The sanctions will be imposed on those directly involved in the false and immoral actions towards Sentsov, Kolchenko, Nadiya [Savchenko], everyone," the minister said.
He said he would meet with Savchenko's mother on Monday, August 31, to discuss further steps towards the release of her daughter.
