Police qualifies clashes near Dobkin's office in Kharkiv as mass riot
The police have opened a criminal investigation under the mass riots article in the Criminal Code of Ukraine after clashes took place near the office of Opposition Bloc MP Mykhailo Dobkin in Kharkiv.
"The information about what happened was added to the Unified Registry of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 1, Article 294 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," First Deputy Head of Kharkiv police Oleksandr Budarny told journalists and activists.
Those detained will be delivered to district police offices for processing and interrogation, Director of the Civil Security Department of the Interior Ministry's office in Kharkiv Serhiy Birbasov said.
Both failed to say the exact number of those detained.
