Eight civilians injured, large-scale fires and destruction reported in Kharkiv
Eight casualties, fires and destruction were recorded in Kharkiv during a massive night attack by enemy drones, said Dmytro Chubenko, press secretary of the regional prosecutor's office.
Eight people were injured, including a 9-month-old baby, a 7-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl.
Most of the UAV hits were recorded in industrial areas.
"Until now [as of 3:00] fires continue in warehouses and production facilities, high-rise and two-story buildings, their total area is about 2,000 square meters," Chubenko said in a video comment distributed by the press service.
According to him, it’s about various civilian enterprises, in particular textile ones.
In addition, as a result of the UAV attack, about 20 private houses were damaged. At the site of the hit, law enforcement officers seized parts of the Geran-2 UAV.
A pretrial investigation has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
