FIBA suspends Russian basketball teams from intl competitions – media
The office of the Russian Basketball Federation (RBF) has received a letter from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) notifying on the suspension of all Russian national teams from international competitions, Sport-Express reported on Wednesday.
The reasons for this decision are the scandals in the RBF and the scheduling of an extraordinary election conference.
Women's team under 18 was expected to begin competitions at the European championship in Slovenia on July 30. The other national teams, men's and women's teams under 16 and the main men's national team, will not play in the European championships.
