Poroshenko hopes High Justice Council will decide on dismissal of over 300 judges within a month
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said he hopes that the High Justice Council will consider the dismissal of judges soon.
"I hope High Council of Justice this month will finally consider the issue of dismissal of 300 judges, which hasn't been considered by this time," Poroshenko said in his annual address to Verkhovna Rada on Thursday.
He said the council is considering the dismissal of judges, adding that "a bigger portion of these dismissals [are] connected with proven accusations of corruption."
