U.S. ready to bolster its role in Donbas peace process - Ukrainian diplomat
The United States is prepared to play a bigger role in the peace process evolving in eastern Ukraine, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Ambassador at Large Dmytro Kuleba has said.
"Although the United States is not a formal member of the 'Normandy format', it is playing a very important role and is ready to bolster it," he said in the Podrobnosti Nedeli program aired by the Inter channel on Sunday evening.
In the opinion of Kuleba, the shuttle diplomacy U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland has begun is an element of direct dialogue in which solutions can be found and positive measures promoting the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements can be achieved.
