World powers demonstrate solidarity with Ukraine through boycotting May 9 parade in Moscow - Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko believes that the world has demonstrated solidarity with Ukraine through boycotting the May 9 parade in Moscow.
"The whole world supports Ukraine. The broad international boycott of today's parade in Red Square in Moscow became one of the manifestations of this support," he said.
Poroshenko spoke on Saturday at a ceremony at the National Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War at which conscripts of the presidential regiment and the brigade of guards of the General Staff took their oath.
Once again he reminded his audience of Ukraine's contribution to the victory won 70 years ago. He said that at least 6 million Ukrainians fought in the Red Army.
