European Solidarity announces blocking Poroshenko's participation in NATO PA
The European Solidarity party has announced that it will block the participation of the party leader, Ukrainian MP Petro Poroshenko, in the session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (PA), which will take place in Dayton, USA, on May 22-26.
"Despite the fact that all documents were submitted in advance and there is an official invitation from partners, the government again blocked Poroshenko's participation. Although there were more than enough grounds for approval, even in accordance with the absurd order of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada on the requirements for business trips of deputies," says a statement posted on the official website of the political force on Wednesday.
The party announced the "removal from the external front of those who are capable of strengthening international support for Ukraine." "During this visit, Poroshenko had bilateral meetings with partners, conversations with experts and opinion leaders, public speeches, in particular within the framework of the Political Committee," the statement notes.
