War considered to be over when Ukraine regains Donbas, Crimea – Poroshenko
The war will be considered to be over only when Ukraine regains Donbas and Crimea, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
"The war will end [for us] when Ukraine regains Donbas and Crimea. How long will it take? As long as necessary," the president told the STB channel on Thursday evening.
Some countries have been in a state of war for a rather long time, Poroshenko continued. "For instance, South Korea has been at war with its northern neighbor for decades, and it has been taking decisive measures for decades," he said.
Poroshenko also mentioned Israel which had been fighting a war for more than 30 years. "As to when. As soon as we get them back. How much time and effort can it take? We'll live and see. But we will be uncompromising on that matter," Poroshenko added.
