UAH 13 bln capital investment attracted to Donetsk region's economy
Around UAH 12.9 billion of capital investment was attracted to the economy of Donetsk region over the past year, the first deputy chairman of the regional military and civil administration, Oleksandr Kravtsov, said during a meeting of the Regional State Administration.
"With regard to total foreign direct investment attracted to the region's economy, since the beginning of 2014 it has fallen by $1.052 billion, and as of December 31 amounted to $2.550 billion," Kravtsov said.
He also said that foreign goods trade turnover in comparison with 2013 declined by 36%, in particular exports - by 32.2%, imports - by 47.7%.
"The foreign trade turnover surplus amounted to $6.3 billion," Kravtsov said.
Speaking about total sales of consumer goods in the retail market, he said that in 2014 the figure fell by 27%, and amounted to UAH 66.9 billion.
