Militants opened mortar fire on bus immediately after it hit mine near Horlivka – police
A passenger bus, which hit a mine near Artemivsk in Donetsk region, has been shelled with mortars by the militants, deputy Ukrainian Interior Ministry's chief in Donetsk region Illya Kiva said.
"Immediately after that [the bust hit a mine] illegal armed formations of Donetsk People's Republic opened a mortar fire on a bus carrying passengers, residents of Artemivsk of Donetsk region," Kiva wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday night.
He said that a mortar fire hampered the cars of Ukrainian Emergency Situations Service and ambulances to render medical aid to explosion victims.
"As a result of explosion and shelling four people killed, and 19 innocent civilians injured," reads a post on his page.
