Lenin statue in Odesa region destroyed, says Svoboda Union
The Odesa regional branch of Svoboda Union has reported that another Lenin statue has been destroyed in the region.
The organization’s press service reported that during the night from January 1 to January 2, 2015 residents of Krasni Okny district destroyed the statue of Lenin in the district’s center, while celebrating the anniversary of Stepan Bandera, the leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN).
As reported, last year around two dozens of statues of Lenin were destroyed or damaged in Odesa region alone.
