Number of OSCE observers in Ukraine should reach 500 by January - secretary general
The number of observers from the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine in January 2015 should reach 500 people, OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier has said.
"The number of OSCE monitors in Ukraine is to reach 500 by January, of these 350 are to be in the east," the OSCE quoted him as saying on its Twitter page.
According to Zannier, there are currently 341 OSCE monitors in ten regions of Ukraine, including Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Basel hosts a meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council on Thursday.
