National Guard has noting to do with blast at school grounds in Donetsk - press service
The National Guard has flatly denied any reports about its involvement into an explosion at school grounds in Donetsk, which killed two teenagers, the Interior Ministry reported.
"The command of the National Guard denies this information [about the alleged shelling of a school in Donetsk by the National Guard soldiers]. The National Guard has nothing to do with the shelling of the school in Donetsk," reads a statement posted on the ministry's website on Thursday.
As reported, a shell exploded at a sports ground near School No. 63 in Donetsk killing two teenagers on Wednesday evening.
Spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Yevhen Perebyinis said that there was evidence that a shell that killed teenagers at a sports ground near School No. 63 in Donetsk was launched from the territory controlled by militants. The Ukrainian Security Service opened a criminal investigation into the explosion.
