Artillery attack kills one civilian, says Donetsk City Council

A civilian was killed in an artillery attack in Donetsk on Tuesday night, says a report posted on the City Council Web site.

"Tensions persisted in the city overnight. The Kuibyshevsky and Kyivsky districts came under artillery fire in the afternoon of October 28. A house was razed at 56, Raduzhna Street and one civilian was killed," the report said.

The city was relatively calm as of 09.00 on Wednesday.

Public service utilities were operating well.
