Ukraine's Defense Ministry, military companies sign agreement on cooperation - Poltorak
Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine have signed a framework agreement on further cooperation, head of the defense authority Stepan Poltorak has said.
"I've just finished a meeting with the representatives of almost all plants, at which we discussed our joint actions [with the Defense Ministry and the General Staff], agreed and for the first time signed a framework agreement, in which we defined clear objectives for the military industrial complex," he said on Channel Five.
According to Poltorak, the matter concerns not just the repairs of old equipment, but the procurement of new models.
"We have decided in the near future to sign agreements for the supply of new modern equipment," the minister said.
