Donetsk regional authorities say four fatalities when militant shell hit school in Donetsk

Militants of the Donetsk People's Republic shelled general school No. 57 in Donetsk at 1000 on Wednesday, killing four people and injuring eight, Donetsk regional state administration has said

An artillery shell fell about five meters from the school in the Kyivsky district of Donetsk, the administration's press service said.

About 70 schoolchildren and 28 teachers were inside the school building at the time of the incident, and were rushed to a shelter in the building's basement, the city council said. The shockwave damaged some windows and doors in the school.

It was earlier reported that six adults had sustained injuries as a result of the shelling attack.
