Donetsk National University to be transferred to Vinnytsia
The Ukrainian Education and Science Ministry has announced that Donetsk National University will be transferred to Vinnytsia and banned all educational work on its behalf.
"Donetsk National University will continue its academic work in compliance with the license and accreditation certificate, in Vinnytsia," the Education and Science Ministry said on Tuesday.
The ministry adopted a respective order on September 30 after consultations with the leadership of the university and the heads of government agencies and local self-government in Donetsk region.
It also said that individuals working in the university premises without a license would be criminally liable.
The ministry urged Donetsk National University's staff and students who want to continue working and studying at the university to register on the university's official Web site, or inform the university management about their decision in any other form they find convenient.
