Artillery fire continued in the Kyivsky and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk on Tuesday afternoon, the Donetsk city council said on its Web site on Tuesday.
"The second half of the day was tense. At 1230 p.m. artillery fire began in the Kyivsky district. (…) After the shelling 54 transformer substations in the Kyivsky district lost power. Three water pipeline systems – the Northern, Central and Kuibyshevsky ones - have shut down. Their power supplies were restored by 1500 p.m.," the statement said.
Also, shelling in the Petrovsky district led to damage of 60 metal containers on a market and a utility structure in Sotsialistychna Street.
Emergency teams worked both in the Kirovsky and Kyivsky districts. During the day power supplies were restored for households in the Abakumov Mine village.
