Morning in Donetsk starts with artillery strikes – mayor's office

According to information of local residents, heavy strikes were heard through the night around Donetsk, the Donetsk city council press office said in a statement.

"The morning of August 20 began in Donetsk with artillery strikes. Building 36 and gas pipeline on Arhunovykh Street at the intersection with Partyzansky Avenue were destroyed with direct shell strike. Donetskmiskgas repair brigade has gone to the site," the press office said.

Residential houses and buildings on some street were damages by shells.

As of Wednesday morning, the situation in the city is tense. Public transport, utility services and repair brigades work.

Repair and reconstruction work continues in the Petrovsky, Kirovsky and Kuibyshevsky districts.
