Donetsk disquiet at overnight fighting near airport - City Council

There were overnight hostilities, presumably with the use of heavy artillery, in the Donetsk airport area, the Donetsk City Council reported on Friday.

"Residents of many districts heard a plane flying low at about 2015 and saw heavy military vehicles moving along central roads," it said.

As of Friday morning, public utility services were operating normally and public transportation was sufficient.

Yet traffic is limited on some routes as the five-kilometer zone around the airport is not safe.
