Another Lenin monument removed near Ukraine's Sumy
A Lenin monument in the village of Chervona Sloboda, Sumy region, Ukraine, was removed in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Ukrainian Communist Party said.
"Law enforcers have established that vandals damaged the monument by having it pulled down from the pedestal by a tractor and a tow," the statement said.
The monument is on the balance-sheet of the local rural council, the spokesperson said.
"A criminal case has been opened over the act of vandalism," the party said.
Also, it emerged on Tuesday that another Lenin monument was removed in the village of Bilozerka in the Kherson region.
