Militants steal UAH 15 mln in Donetsk bank intended as pensions and salaries – Security & Defense Council
Illegal armed formations have robbed a branch of PrivatBank in Donetsk and stolen UAH 15 million meant to pay pensions and salaries, spokesman of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Lysenko said.
"Yesterday at 1530, 40 armed terrorists robbed the building of PrivatBank branch in Voroshylovsky district in Donetsk. Breaking the door of the safe vault, the militants stole over UAH 15 million," he said at a briefing on Thursday.
According to Lysenko, this money had been transferred by the Ukrainian government to pay pensions and salaries to social sector employees.
