Four children killed in ATO area in Donetsk region, no data on Luhansk region – Health Ministry
Four children have been killed in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in the Donetsk region, but there are no data on fatalities in the Luhansk region, the Health Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine, citing the results of forensic examinations.
"According to the official results of forensic examinations, four children were killed in the ATO area. These children were killed in Donetsk region. There is no information about any children killed in the Luhansk region," the ministry's press service said on Monday.
However, the press service did not specify the cause of the deaths of children.
At the same time, the head of the parliamentary committee on health, MP Tetiana Bakhteyeva, said on Monday that over 40 children had been killed in the Donbas from shrapnel wounds and gunshot wounds.
Her press service reported that Bakteyeva gets such figures from its own sources: "This information came from her own sources, primarily from the morgues and from the doctors."
