Ukraine, EU to discuss signing of remaining association deal provisions before June 27
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will negotiate the possible signing of the remaining provisions of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement before June 27, acting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Deschytsia said.
"We need to hold consultations with the European Union about how soon this document can be signed," Deschytsia told a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
He said it had been initially planned to sign the second part of the Association Agreement on June 27, when the agreements would be signed by Georgia and Moldova.
"But, as you know, President-elect Petro Poroshenko has expressed the wish to sign this document sooner," the acting minister said.
Poroshenko suggested that the Association Agreement be signed immediately after the inauguration of the new Ukrainian president.
