Gunfire heard near Donetsk airport - mayor's office
The mayor's office of Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, on Wednesday said there were currently outbreaks of gunfire in the vicinity of the city airport and urged people living within the 5-kilometer area of the airport not to go outside without dire need, not to come to their windows, and keep off their balconies.
"As of 1600, the situation in the city remained tense. Gunfire could be heard in the vicinity of Donetsk Airport," the office said in a statement posted on its website.
Some of the local bus services ran with larger intervals and one trolleybus service remained out of operation, it said.
The rest of Donetsk was quiet, the office said.
