The OSCE special monitoring mission in Ukraine will be expanded to 750 people, the head of the mission, Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan, has said.
Speaking at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday, Apakan said that the OSCE mission started with 120 observers, now they have 210.
The mission will be 300 by the end of June, 500 by the end of August, and then its number will come up to about 750, he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
According to the ambassador, at present there are ten teams in ten regions of Ukraine, with half of them working in southern and eastern regions.
Apakan said that last week he presented the first report to the OSCE Council, which received support from 57 participating countries.
