Prices of medicines could stabilize in May-June

Prices of medicines will stabilize in May or June at the level they will achieve by that time, Marketing Director at Business Credit Company Olena Karchevska has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"Taking into account the fact that the prices grew for a long period of time, not waiting for the U.S. dollar exchange rate to jump, their growth in coming month or two will considerably slow and they will even slightly fall. In May-June, the trace effect will be felt with the fixation of prices at the indicators reached by that moment," she said.

The expert said that "if over the past two years the U.S. dollar exchange rate was not restrained, it would behave in the same way as the prices of medicines and there would not have been a jump as we saw in February-April."
