PGO suspects Yanukovych, Zakharchenko, Yakymenko of creating terrorism organization
The Prosecutor General's Office is holding an inquiry into a criminal case opened against former officials under the Article 258 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on terrorist acts which caused casualties, acting PGO spokesman Vasyl Zoria has said.
"In particular, it was established that Viktor Yanukovych, Oleksandr Yakymenko [ex-SBU chief] and Vitaliy Zakharchenko [ex-interior minister] by prior conspiracy formed a terrorist organization, the activities of which caused mass casualties of people on February 20, 2014 at Instytutska Street in Kyiv, as well as engaging soldiers of the Security Service of Ukraine and Interior Troops of the Ukraine's Interior Ministry in the operation," Zoria said on Friday.
