Referendum on Ukraine's state system could be held on May 25 simultaneously with presidential elections - Turchynov
Verkhovna Rada Speaker and Interim President Oleksandr Turchynov has said he does not rule out the holding of a referendum simultaneously with presidential elections, scheduled for May 25.
"I am confident that the vast majority of Ukrainians in this referendum, which, if the parliament makes a respective decision, could be held simultaneously with the presidential elections, will vote for an indivisible, independent, democratic and unitary Ukraine," he said at a meeting of the conciliatory council of the leaders of parliamentary factions and committees in Kyiv on Monday.
"It is my belief, and I'm sure that those present here share this position," Turchynov added.
