MP Herman: Regions Party should give upcoming presidential election a miss
The Party of Regions of Ukraine should not participate in the May 25 presidential elections, MP Hanna Herman of the Party of Regions said.
"I do not know whom the party will nominate, if it is going to nominate anyone at all. It seems to me that the party needs to take time out, it needs to hold internal reforms, needs to renew its composition, to create a new platform," she said in comments to Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
"I think that these elections are not the ones for the Party of Regions, but the following will be," Herman said.
According to her, the Party of Regions should give the upcoming presidential elections a miss.
Talking about the nomination of one of the party leaders, Sergiy Tigipko, as a presidential candidate, the MP said: "If he took this decision, it may be right."
