Yanukovych to visit Moscow in any case, says Herman
Regions Party parliamentary faction MP Hanna Herman has said that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will make a visit to Moscow in any case.
"I believe that time for this visit will come. I think that this visit to Moscow, which will be made for sure, will meet Ukraine's required interests," she told journalists on Tuesday.
Asked whether the postponement of the visit to Russia could be connected with the determination of the date of the EU-Ukraine Summit in Brussels, Herman said: "I don't think that the one is somehow related to the other."
"Ukraine declared itself a bridge between East and West, and being a link between East and West was and will remain the priority of our policy," she said, and added that visits to Europe and Russia will only strengthen and intensify cooperation process between Ukraine and its international partners.
As reported, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was to make a working visit to Moscow on December 18. However, the visit has been postponed.
