Bohoslovska: Man dressed in Berkut uniform shot at Maidan activists and law enforcers
Independent MP Inna Bohoslovska has said that MPs have a video in which a man dressed as a Berkut riot police officer shoots from a machine gun from the roof of a house at Maidan defenders and then turns around and opens fire on Berkut police.
"This man is dressed as a Berkut, but these are not Berkut police officers," she said from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.
"We have a video, and this is what we need to deal with," she added.
Bohoslovska said that shots could have been fired by employees of the State Guard Department or the Alfa police force dressed as Berkut police officers.
"As far as we know, shots were made by the State Guard Department and Alfa dressed as Berkut... It was an absolute provocation," she said.
Bohoslovska also said that the video had been shown to MPs by Berkut officers, but they had refused to hand over the video until they conducted their own investigation.
