Protesters seize 67 Internal Troops servicemen, claims Interior Ministry

The fate of nearly 70 Internal Troops servicemen seized by protesters remains unknown, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said in a statement.

"Sixty-seven servicemen from the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's Internal Troops have been seized during extremist attacks on our officers. Their conditions are so far unknown," the ministry said.

"Law enforcers have the right to apply whatever method is allowed to them by law, including weapons, in order to free their colleagues," the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said.

Meanwhile, a number of media reported earlier that a group of Internal Troops servicemen surrendered to protesters on Thursday.
