Three Ukrainian opposition forces calling to do everything possible to prevent further bloodshed
The opposition does not accept the demand of the government to disband the Maidan but finds it necessary to do everything to prevent further bloodshed.
"The dissolution of the Maidan as a condition put forward by [Ukrainian President Viktor] Yanukovych to the opposition is counterproductive and unrealistic. It was not us who brought Maidan together and it is not for us to disperse it! People will decide themselves what to do depending on when and how their demands are satisfied," a statement of three opposition parties - Batkivschyna, UDAR and Svoboda - posted on Batkivschyna Web site on Wednesday says.
"To hold talks with the regime, the policies of which led to the deaths of many people, is an extremely unpleasant thing but we must do everything possible and even the impossible to prevent further bloodshed," the statement says.
